Scott
Hertz grew up in Houston, Texas, graduating from Robert E. Lee
Senior High School. From 1998 to 2002, he attended the
University of Texas at Austin where he graduated in 2002 with
a Bachelor of Science in Advertising. Scott is an alumni of
the groundbreaking TexasInteractive program - one of the only
collegiate Interactive Advertising programs in the
country.
While
attending UT-Austin, Scott served for three
years as the Webmaster and Communications Manager for the URJ
Greene Family Camp in Bruceville, Texas. He also spent two
years at the University Coop
bookstore in Austin, Texas - the largest collegiate bookstore in
the country. During this time, he completed a large-scale
upgrade and redesign of the retailer's website, universitycoop.com.
In 2002, Scott joined the
National Staff of the Union for Reform Judaism's Youth
Division as Manager of Web and Technology. He is responsible
for all of the websites serving the youth and camping
programs of the Reform Jewish Movement in North America.
Scott oversees more than 35 websites including those of the
North American Federation of Temple Youth
(NFTY), the Union's
KESHER
College Department, the URJ
Youth Initiative, NFTY Israel Programs and the
URJ Camps.
Though his heart is still deep in the heart of Texas, Scott
currently resides in Manhattan. |
